2026 Shutdown Schedule
The buildings listed below will be impacted by the annual maintenance shutdown. Click on your building name to expand the schedule details. If your building is not listed, then it will not be impacted.
Why do we conduct an annual shutdown?
Each spring, the Physical Plant department performs an annual shutdown of the Main Campus District Energy Plant and satellite boilers to complete mandatory equipment and safety inspections and to perform critical maintenance repairs on the campus thermal energy distribution system.
The shutdown impacts the heating, cooling and hot water system in many campus buildings. The process typically begins immediately after the main Commencement Ceremony has ended and continues for several days. The detailed schedule of impacts is published a few weeks prior to shutdown.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of campus partners and building occupants during this brief disruption. Please direct all questions or concerns to Service Operations Support (SOS) and they will route you to the appropriate field maintenance or engineering personnel.
