Jennifer Powers brings over 20 years of higher education experience and a strong background in strategic planning and operational leadership to her role as Associate Dean of Students.
Most recently, Jennifer served as Senior Manager of Strategic Planning and Integration at Gallaudet University, where she led the development of the comprehensive Gallaudet Promise 2030 strategic plan and created the Bison Blueprint strategic planning toolkit. Throughout her career at Gallaudet, she held progressively responsible roles, including Director of Operations in the Office of the Provost and Coordinator of Budget and Operations in the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, where she managed multi-million-dollar budgets and led cross-functional teams.
Jennifer holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Management with a concentration in Educational Policy from Drexel University, a Master of Arts in Drama Therapy from New York University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from the University of the Arts. Her research focuses on student success and academic support, particularly for historically marginalized populations.
