Early Admission Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Secure your spot in the University of Vermont's Doctor of Physical Therapy program early while gaining valuable observational experience in a physical therapy setting.

Approved applicants can secure their place in our graduate program by submitting a deposit and will transition to the UVM DPT program upon meeting early-entry programmatic requirements including 10 observational hours in a physical therapy setting.

Requirements for Admission

  • Junior-year UVM undergraduate students may apply.
  • GRE scores are not required.
  • Must have a 3.0 overall prerequisite GPA.  GPA must be upheld through senior year.
  • Completion of prerequisite courses at the end of senior year.
    • Two semesters of anatomy/physiology with labs
    • Two semesters of college chemistry with labs
    • Two semesters of physics with labs
    • Two semesters of biology (not botany or zoology)
    • One semester of psychology
    • One semester of statistics

Admissions Timeline 

  • April 25: Applications due
  • Early June: Admissions decisions released
  • October 1: Graduate application due
  • Deposits will be due 2 weeks after receiving the official acceptance letter from UVM Graduate College
