BIO

Professor Calisti is a registered nurse who earned her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Vermont and an M.S.N. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She began her bedside nursing career in 2020 on a post-surgical inpatient care unit and has worked as an RN in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center since 2022. She joined the UVM Department of Nursing as a full-time faculty member in 2026.

Kathryn is passionate about critical care nursing and has interests in health literacy assessment and holistic patient care. When she is not teaching in Rowell or working at the bedside, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her two tabby cats.

Bio
