How did you discover UVM? I discovered UVM through my community and social media. I have a friend who constantly goes up to Vermont which brought my attention to UVM, and then I furthered my interest by looking into the school via the internet.

What excites you most about joining the UVM/CNHS community? The thing that excites me most about joining the UVM/CNHS community is definitely change and making new connections. All I've known is Natick, Massachusetts, so I am excited to see what Burlington and UVM has to offer!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, I hope to be successful and happy with whatever I end up pursuing as my career, as well as to be able to see the growth that I have made within myself and my community.

How did you discover UVM? I discovered UVM because of my dad. He really wanted me to tour colleges more north and his best friend's daughter went to UVM. He thought I would really like it and urged me to tour and learn about the school.

What excites you most about joining the UVM/CNHS community? I'm really excited to meet new people at UVM and get involved at the school. I'm also really excited to start learning and taking classes in my major because I've been interested in the topic for so long.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, I see myself working for either a private practice or for a school as as a speech-language pathologist. Hopefully I will be living somewhere warm, near a beach maybe, after spending some time in Vermont!

How did you discover UVM? Mostly through family and friends that are either alumni or have a strong Vermont connection.

What excites you most about joining the UVM/CNHS community? Getting out of my comfort zone and exploring a new place.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? No idea.

Sarah Landre, Medical Radiation Sciences

Hometown: Watertown, New York; Clarksville, Tennessee; and most recently, Anderson, South Carolina

How did you discover UVM? I found UVM through College Board. I found there was nowhere in South Carolina offering a four-year degree in Radiation Therapy, and I thought the most reasonable thing to do was to move 852 miles away from home to a climate I am not familiar with as an "adult."

What excites you most about joining the UVM/CNHS community? I am excited to become part of a new community and continue my education in a new place I have never experienced. I am also hoping to participate in prepping for Camp Kesem, an organization that focuses on the children of parents with cancer.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, I hope to have made a positive impact on my patients. I hope to travel to hospitals around the US to continue having new experiences.
