BIO
Julia Stein (she/her) serves as the Academic Affairs Coordinator for the Department of Education. In this role, she assists the department by providing operational oversight and support to the chair, DOE Directors, faculty, and staff. Collaborates with the CESS Director of Assessment, Data, and Accreditation to provide data management and organization to the DOE for strategic program planning and accreditation data-gathering strategies for undergraduate and graduate licensure programs. Collaborates with the DOE Leadership Team on the development, planning of events, and maintenance of the departmental website and calendar. Serves as the co-chair of the DOE Community Council to promote an active, engaged community in the large department and other internal and external constituents for the DOE.
Julia was born and raised in Vermont; she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology at the University of Vermont. Before joining UVM as an employee, Julia worked for the Burlington School District as the Guidance Administrative Assistant at Edmunds Middle School, where she gained a passion for education and an interest in creating a more inclusive and just educational community.
