Job Title and Description
Electrical Engineering Associate. I will perform professional electrical engineering work at a wide variety of assignments such as designs, plans, specifications, cost analysis, schedules, contracts and reports for electrical systems and equipment. I will conduct quality assurance and safety testing, inspection, and research. I also will provide technical direction in the licensing, design, construction, installation, maintenance and operation of electrical systems.
What UVM experiences, connections, or mentors have played a role in helping you land this job?
NSBE has brought me this opportunity, considering I wouldn’t have been at the NSBE conference where I got to not only meet but also apply and interview with them if it weren’t for our NSBE chapter. That is the direct connection that got me this opportunity and most of the indirect ones involve professors, mentors, and classmates. During the interview I mainly heard advice from Dr. James Kay, Dr. Eva Cosoroaba, Dr. Jeff Frolik, and from my mentor Dr. Alex Yin repeating in my head and that guided me through the interview process.
