Tatiana Andrievskaya is the Office Manager in the Tutoring Center at UVM. In this role, she supports all TC Programs, as well as hires, trains, and supervises Front Desk student assistants. Her work focuses on excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere for all UVM students and visitors.
Tatiana studied at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPI), USSR, in the Computer Science Department, as well as participated in the Esperanto International Language Movement in the USSR from 1980-1995. Esperanto was created by L.L. Zamenhof in 1887 with the goal of fostering understanding and peace between people from different linguistic backgrounds, standing for peace and friendship.
Tatiana was an Executive Secretary of the Esperanto Department in the Fund of Mutual Aid of Social and Cultural Measures in USSR, as well as worked in Stockholm, Sweden, where she participated in organizing Esperanto Music Recording Studio in 1990-1995. Tatiana traveled many European countries, participating in the Esperanto Conferences, and came to live in the U.S. in 2000. She brings a multicultural approach to her work.
Outside of work, Tatiana has organized several concerts of Russian songs with the department of German and Russian here at UVM between 2010 and 2015. She enjoys walking and hiking, x-country skiing in winter, and swimming in summer. She also enjoys cooking family recipes, reading, watching classical movies, and listening to music.
