Learn from acclaimed researchers, scientists, and practitioners experienced in working with public health issues, including disease, nutrition, addiction, and mental illness, as well as the most pressing environmental issues we’re facing today.

Select from courses in core laboratory sciences such as chemistry, physics, anatomy, biology and neuroscience. Or explore current topics in environmental sciences, nursing, plant & soil sciences, nutrition and more. Students from all majors can even complement their studies by completing a full minor Ecological Agriculture in one to two summers. Our summer offerings reflect the excellence and extensiveness of UVM’s science programs. Work on requirements toward your undergraduate degree, or focus on prerequisites for medical, nursing or graduate school.

Summer U is well positioned to serve those students who are pursuing pre-med tracks as well as those who are starting to think about medical or health professional school later in their academic careers.  This additional course work will provide a competitive advantage to their medical school applications.
