Section Description

This course is designed for a six week summer session course. The course covers JavaScript and Jquery following along with w3schools tutorials (https://www.w3schools.com/js/) and you may also use any textbook or other resources that you want. This course is designed for self study, independent learning which allows flexibility to complete the assignment early so as to accommodate everyone's busy summer schedule. You should have a strong foundation in HTML, CSS as covered in CS 1080 If you are a book person a really good book is this one: https://www.wiley.com/en-us/JavaScript+and+JQuery%3A+Interactive+Front+End+Web+Development-p-9781118531648 JavaScript and JQuery: Interactive Front-End Web Development Jon Duckett ISBN: 978-1-118-53164-8 Jun 2014 640 pages

Section Expectation

You can expect to work on the computer several hours each day (the actual amount of time will vary from person to person) I would plan on about 4 hours a day and see how you do. You may spend less or you may spend more depending on your comfort level. We read about 2 chapters each week. You may read ahead and finish the course early. Some folks finished the book material in a week, then spent the rest of the time on their final project.

Evaluation

You are graded only on two items, a final exam (based on the w3.schools web site) and your final project.
