student studying outside in summer

Catch up or get ahead—summer academic students who are college-age or older can enjoy convenient, affordable, short-term housing on our beautiful campus while pursuing their summer studies.

Sign up for just the weeks you are taking classes.

There's no need to commit to a lease/sublet for the entire summer. Live with other summer academic students in the Marsh/Austin/Tupper complex on Athletic Campus, with a fully staffed main desk, and a residence director on duty 24/7. Questions? Email us at:

Request Summer Housing

Sign in with your UVM NetID. 2018 Summer housing request form opens March 2.

Dates & Eligibility

Summer housing available in weekly increments.

  • Who can apply: You must be enrolled in at least one UVM summer academic class. If you drop the class, you will be required to move out within 24 hours. It is possible to sign up to stay through between sessions, but there cannot be more than a one-week gap between the end of one session and the beginning of the next.
  • When to apply: Beginning March 2, you can apply for 2018 summer housing via the summer housing request in myResLife. If you are new to UVM, you’ll need to activate your NetID before you can request housing. Once we verify your enrollment status we’ll send you a link to our summer housing contract. Read about special accommodations.
  • We also offer “bridge” housing to students who live on campus during the spring semester and enroll in the first summer session, and to those who enroll in the last summer session and will be living on campus in the fall. Weekly charges apply for bridge housing.
  • Need to be on campus this summer but not taking a credit-bearing class? University Event Services provides non-academic housing for those taking non-credit-bearing classes, pursuing internships, or employed in summer jobs on campus. Read about University Events Services housing options or call (802) 656-5665.
