Samantha Koehler is the Senior Meteorological Technician at the Water Resources Institute, where she leads the development of the Vermont Mesonet and supports the integration of Summit to Shore data and operations.
Originally from Princess Anne, Maryland, Samantha earned dual bachelor's degrees in Physics and Geography with a focus in Meteorology from Salisbury University in 2020. She completed her Master of Science in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2025, where she played a key role in building and managing the Maryland Mesonet. Prior to her current role, Samantha served as a field technician for the New York State Mesonet, where she specialized in instrument repair, community outreach, technical writing, and laboratory operations.
