BIO
Elodie is an award-winning writer, photographer, audio producer and journalist. In 2019, she earned her MFA in creative nonfiction writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Bylines include The Atlantic, NPR, The World, Ecotone and The Christian Science Monitor. She's previously been a staff reporter at Vermont Public and at several Northeast newspapers, including the Concord Monitor during the 2016 New Hampshire presidential primary. Her stories have touched on everything from select board debates to a mudpuppy protest to how Vermont Muslims observed Ramadan during the COVID pandemic. She's often focused on food, land and agriculture.
Elodie's work starts at the community level, with special attention to who might be most impacted by the issue at hand. She listens to and collaborates with stakeholders in order to: build relationships, transparency and trust; provide useful information; hold power accountable; and tell artful, honest narratives.
In her role as Communications Manager for University of Vermont Extension, Elodie shares the story of how Extension provides and facilitates research, education, and outreach with partners for the people of Vermont.
