Summer Internship Positions — White River Valley

The Leahy Institute will support a cohort of 5-6 UVM summer interns working  20 hours per week  for 10 weeks with organizations supporting Community Schools in the White River Valley area. Students will live on the campus of Vermont Technical College in Randolph from early June to mid-August 2026.

The Leahy Institute funds will cover intern housing. Community organizations will fund wages. All interns will participate in an initial orientation and weekly reflection/professional development workshops facilitated by community organizations.

Vital Communities — Farm to School Intern

Position Summary: Intern will co-manage the Upper Valley Farm to School Tool Library, including communications with schools, managing the reservation system, and delivering tools to schools. Intern will also work collaboratively in school gardens and communicate with food system and farm to school stakeholders.

White River Valley Supervisory Union — Child Nutrition Intern

Position Summary: Intern will assist in planning, packing, and distributing meal kits and weekend food bags, assist with record keeping, data management, and documentation of production and dissemination and design, research, and execute a summer/back-to-school newsletter highlighting our programs.
