The Institute of Rural Partnerships is an establishment designed for Vermonters to connect with University people and resources to create positive change for Vermont’s rural communities.
The Institute for Rural Partnerships is made possible by a $14 million award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), with leadership and support from retired U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt. Research collaboration will also take place with NIFA awardees, Auburn University, and the University of Wisconsin. Additional partnerships with Vermont organizations will be sought out and vetted to enable UVM to continue to be a leader in the studies and solutions for rural challenges.
