MSG Aaron Thomas Peters enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 2002 as a Combat Engineer. He attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. His assignments include Bravo Company “Bulldogs”, 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, Bamberg, Germany as a Team Leader. Alpha Company “Outlaws”, 37th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a Squad Leader and HHC “Hellraisers”, as the Battalion Schools NCO; Charlie Company “Commandos” , 35th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard-Wood, Missouri, as a Drill and Senior Drill Sergeant; 618th “Nasty” Engineer Support Company, 307th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, NC as a Platoon Sergeant; Alpha Company “Beasts”, 37th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division as a Platoon Sergeant; 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division as the Senior Engineer Operations Sergeant; Team Bravo, 3-393 Brigade Engineer Battalion, 120th Infantry Brigade, Division West, 1st Army, Fort Hood, Texas as a Combat Engineer OC/T; HHC “Hell Jumpers”, 37th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division as the Battalion Operations Sergeant Major; Bravo Company “Bushmasters”, 37th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division as the Company First Sergeant. Currently Senior Military Science Instructor at the University of Vermont ROTC, Burlington, VT. MSG Peters has served three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
MSG Peters’ military education includes Sapper Leader Course, Jumpmaster School, Master Leaders Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Basic Leader Course, Master Counter IED Course, OC/T School, Engineer-Explosive Ordnance Clearance Agent Course; Drill Sergeant School, Army Basic Instructor Course, Combatives level 1 Course, Route Reconnaissance and Clearance Leader Course, Urban Mobility Breaching Course, and Airborne School. He holds an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and an Associates degree in Culinary Arts.

MSG Peters is married to Erin Peters from Avilla, Indiana and he has two sons, SSG Dalen Peters (24) of Alpha Company, 2-508 PIR, 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division and Maison Peters attending Texas A&M with a major in Horticulture (21).
