Procedures
The Chief Safety and Compliance Officer shall appoint a Chief Laboratory Safety Officer (CLSO). The CLSO is responsible for identifying and monitoring day-to-day safety requirements in the laboratory and engaging in continuous review and examination of the infrastructure that provides support for safety practices and procedures. The CLSO will serve as the liaison between laboratories and the UVM Office of Environmental Safety. The CLSO for the University of Vermont is the Vice President for Research (VPR).
Is there education available?
Training will be provided on an as-needed basis as determined by the Approval Authority or the Responsible Official.
