Katelynn M. Giroux

Appointed to the Board by the Associate Directors for the Appointment of Student Trustees, Inc., in 2023. Term expires in March 2025. Educated at Saint Michael’s College, BS, Neuroscience, 2020; UVM Larner College of Medicine, M.D. candidate, class of 2025. Katelynn serves as a mentor through the Big Sib/Little Sib program at UVM. She also participates in SmileDocs, an educational outreach program that teaches science lessons to local elementary school students. Katelynn was awarded a Larner College of Medicine Summer Research Fellowship grant to conduct public health research regarding Opioid Use Disorder. In college, she was the president of the Student Government Association and student representative on the Saint Michael’s College Board of Trustees Learning Committee. Katelynn was the 2020 recipient of the Catherine Fairbanks Memorial Award and the Saint Michael’s College Award. Before beginning medical school, she worked at the University of Vermont Medical Center as a Clinical Patient Safety Attendant. Katelynn is married to Alex Giroux, and they reside in Colchester, VT.
