BIO

Dr. Thomas Heppner received his Ph.D. in Toxicology and Neurobiology from Iowa State University in Ames.  He was a postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of Vermont.  In 1993 he accepted the position of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Vermont.

Dr. Heppner's research uses calcium imaging and electrophysiological techniques and is focused on the role of ion channels in modulating the activity of smooth muscle in the urinary bladder and in vasculature.
