Public Health Faculty Honored by UVM Larner College of Medicine Teaching Academy

The Division of Public Health is proud to celebrate recent achievements by our faculty at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine Teaching Academy—a distinguished community of educators dedicated to advancing health education through professional development and scholarly activity.

Dr. Chris Zuidema, C.I.H. has been inducted as a member of the Teaching Academy. Membership is awarded based on a comprehensive portfolio of instructional excellence and scholarly contributions. As part of this vibrant network, members gain access to workshops, mentorship opportunities, and grant funding to further enhance their teaching and research.

Dr. Zuidema joins fellow public health faculty members Dr. Tom Griffin, Dr. Constance van Eeghen, and Dr. Laura O’Sullivan in this esteemed group.

In addition, Dr. Elzerie de Jager has been elevated to the rank of Expert Teacher, joining Dr. Shamima in this prestigious category. This recognition reflects exceptional commitment to teaching and leadership in health education.
