Dr. Cheung is a geriatric and palliative nephrologist, passionate about caring for patients and their families as they navigate serious illnesses, including advanced kidney disease and kidney failure.
Getting to know her patients and ensuring they receive high-quality, evidence-based care that aligns with their goals is incredibly rewarding to Dr. Cheung.
She meets patients and families where they are and provides supportive guidance to help them make informed decisions.
Her research focuses on the care of older adults with kidney disease (geriatric nephrology). She's particularly interested in understanding how and why kidney disease is more prevalent in women and in different regions of the country.
