Lab Overview
Our work emphasizes non-coding RNA cargo in extracellular vesicles and DNA methylation profiles in respiratory tract cancers using next generation sequencing or high throughput methylation arrays for epigenomic profiling in human biofluids and cancer cell lines.

Lab Members
Principal Investigator
Scott Langevin, PhD, MHA, CT(ASCP)
Dr. Langevin is a molecular epidemiologist with research interests in epigenomics of disease and environmental and occupational risk factors for cancer. He is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology & Oncology at the Larner College of Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biomedical & Health Sciences in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and Associate Director of Community Outreach & Engagement at the University of Vermont Cancer Center.
Postdoctoral Associates
Dr. Vareta is interested in cancer genomics and bioinformatic analysis to characterize mutational landscapes and identify genetic biomarkers for predicting treatment response and outcomes in head and neck cancer.
