Dr. David Schneider is a cardiologist and medical director of Cardiovascular Services at the University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, VT. He is also a professor at the UVM Larner College of Medicine. Dr. Schneider specializes in heart and vascular conditions such as heart attacks, heart valve disease, and treatment of hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which is an abnormally high concentration of fats in the blood.

His research includes understanding factors that promote the formation of blood clots and the optimal use of treatments to prevent blood clots that are an important cause of heart attack and stroke.
