WVNY-TV: UVM looking for volunteers in C. diff vaccine study (AUG 31, 2026)
Researchers at the University of Vermont are looking for volunteers age 65 and older to participate in Phase 3 clinical trials of a vaccine to prevent a common and potentially life-threatening bacterial infection. Clostridiodes difficile, or C. diff, causes about 30,000 deaths a year in the U.S. and is especially common in hospitals and other long-term care facilities.
