WCAX-TV: UVM finds new drug to fight lung cancer could be a game changer (JUL 14. 2026)
A study published July 14 in Nature Communications co-authored by Larner Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Brian Cunniff, Ph.D., and lead author Victoria Gibson, M.S., UVM research scientist in the Cunniff Lab, along with UVM colleagues and an international team of collaborators, reports a counterintuitive new approach to treating mesothelioma, a rare but aggressive form of lung cancer—and perhaps other cancers too.
