The Mosaic Project is a collection of short stories about the people of the University of Vermont Health Network. From her first foray into the genre at a small storytelling event at the Larner College of Medicine called StorySlamRx, through monthly StorySLAM events in Burlington organized by The Moth, to a packed auditorium at the Main Street Landing Film House, to winning the Moth GrandSLAM at the Flynn—“There is power in storytelling,” Bell says. “Whether counseling a family, speaking to the media, or addressing policymakers, pairing facts and statistics with real-life stories makes a lasting impact. The stories we tell shape our world.”
