Primary care physician Anne Morris, M.D., associate professor of family medicine and associate dean for primary care and AHEC at the Larner College of Medicine, was quoted in a VTDigger article on the Vermont Senate health committee’s work on an expansive bill that seeks to change the way patients access primary care by changing the ways the state pays for it.

“We’re proposing to invest more money in primary care, while trying to reduce the amount of money that’s going into the health care system as a whole,” Dr. Morris said, noting that for every dollar spent in primary care, the broader system saves $13.
