Peter Hyson, M.D.’18, M.A., Green and Gold Early Career Professor in the Department of Medicine at the UVM Larner College of Medicine and infectious disease specialist at the UVM Medical Center, has received a $150,000 Emerging Leader Award from the Bay Area Lyme Foundation to accelerate his research into babesiosis, a blood infection transferred to humans by ticks.
