Tyler Erath, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Vermont’s Center on Behavior and Health, was a featured guest on a recent Vermont Public show discussing programs to help Vermonters who face multiple challenges at once: mental illness, substance use disorder, a criminal past, or homelessness. Dr. Erath is a co-author of a key study on contingency management, a program that pays people in small weekly amounts when they refrain from doing drugs. Burlington has been piloting this program over the past year.
