Yasmeen Abdul-Karim is an Assistant Professor at the Larner College of Medicine. She is a child psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD, depression, anxiety, disruptive behavior disorders and mood disorders. Helping each family reach its potential — emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually — is deeply fulfilling. It's a privilege to connect with families and navigate their struggles, successes and triumphs together. She is particularly interested in the role of culture in mental health and well-being. She enjoys meeting with families and assisting them in addressing their unique needs. Her ultimate goal is to guide children and their parents or caregivers toward healthier, more hopeful lives and help them thrive.
