Stephen Leffler, MD is the UVM Health Chief Executive Officer and UVM Medical Center President. Dr. Leffler began his career at UVM Medical Center in 1993 as an emergency room physician. He served as Chief Population Health and Quality Officer for UVM Health from 2017 to 2019, Chief Medical Officer at UVM Medical Center from 2011 to 2017; and prior to that, he served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department for several years. Dr. Leffler also has served as a professor of Emergency Medicine at the UVM Larner College of Medicine, President of the Medical Staff at UVM Medical Center, President of the Vermont Medical Society, and Chair of the OneCare Vermont ACO Board. He is currently a member of the Vizient AMC CEO Executive Advisory Council and the Cathedral Square Board of Trustees.
