Patrick Bender is a Professor at the Larner College of Medicine in Anesthesiology and Surgery. His academic work centers around intraoperative lung protective ventilation and prevention of post-operative pulmonary complications. He works clinically in the ORs as an Anesthesiologist and in the ICU practicing Critical Care Medicine. He is the site leader of the UVMMC Department of Anesthesiology.
