BIO

Nakul Ravish is an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Vermont Health Network and Medical Group and an American Board Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist serving the department of Pathology in the fields of Surgical pathology and Cytopathology. Nakul Ravish completed a Cytopathology Fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (2024–2025) and a Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (2023–2024). Prior to these fellowships, Nakul Ravish undertook a Pathology Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University at Buffalo (2019–2023). He has recently taken up a role as a clinical course Co-Director for Pathology for the clinical physician.

Recognized for scholarly contributions in cytopathology and surgical pathology, Dr. Ravish has participated in research projects funded by institutional grants, focusing on risk stratification in salivary gland neoplasms and rapid onsite concordance evaluation in renal and adrenal biopsies. Dr. Ravish has published case abstracts and research studies in the online Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Diagnostic Cytopathology. He is listed as an author in the online education database Pathology Outlines further contributing to the field.  His research work has been presented at national conferences such as the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). He has contributed to multidisciplinary tumor board conferences and performance improvement programs serving to enhance patient diagnosis and management. He was presented a Letter of Recognition and Gratitude from the Gift of Life Organ Donor Program for his service as a pathologist in the organ procurement effort. Dr. Ravish is a member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Ravish is committed to advancing patient care through innovation in diagnostic pathology, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As an attending physician Dr. Ravish aims to enhance clinical care by honing his diagnostic skills to deliver accurate diagnosis for his patients, and as an assistant professor to foster education within the pathology community. Overall, he reflets a dedication to the mission of improving patient outcomes and supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
