BIO

Katherine Menson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, where she has developed a strong record of academic scholarship, clinical innovation, and medical education leadership. Her research focuses on pulmonary rehabilitation, smoking cessation, and improving outcomes for patients with lung disease, particularly those undergoing lung cancer surgery. Other initiatives include addressing Long COVID care and behavioral health integration. Dr. Menson has contributed to peer-reviewed publications examining disparities in pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation outcomes and has taken leadership roles in national professional organizations related to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. In addition to her research productivity, she serves as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency, co-director of Aequitas Health Honor Society, and clinical director of the Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Clinical Resource Center
