Jillian C. Belmont, DNP, AGACNP‑BC, FNP‑BC, FAANP, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. She has built a distinguished academic career through more than a decade of teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development, with prior faculty appointments at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Northeastern University. Her academic interests focus on cerebrovascular care, advanced practice strategy and education, and systems‑level quality improvement. Dr. Belmont’s scholarly contributions include authorship of multiple peer‑reviewed book chapters on neurologic disorders, headache management, and cerebrovascular events, published through Elsevier and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. She has also served as a sub‑investigator on multi‑center clinical studies examining atrial fibrillation and patient‑centered stroke outcomes. Her academic work is complemented by a robust record of invited presentations at international, national, and regional conferences, where she has spoken on stroke care, interprofessional collaboration, and the development of advanced practice workforce models. A recognized leader in advanced practice, Dr. Belmont serves as Director of Advanced Practice Professionals at the University of Vermont Medical Center and previously held statewide and national leadership roles, including President of the New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association and State Representative for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
