BIO
Jeremiah Dickerson is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and practices child and adolescent psychiatry at the UVM Medical Center where he is the director for the general psychiatry residency program. Clinically, his work focuses on autism diagnostic assessments and supporting neurodivergent individuals of all ages through family-centered care. At UVM, he’s had the privilege to create a range of teaching opportunities that bridge his interests of mental health, stigmatization, connectedness and community, narrative medicine, the history of psychiatry, social neuroscience, and the humanities. He’s facilitated book groups for a range of medical learners, has led museum visits for medical students, and teaches courses centered on psychiatric memoirs, graphic medicine, and the intersection of popular culture and mental health.
