BIO
Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Hunt joined the Office of the Learning Environment in 2023 and was appointed Director in July of 2025. Dr. Hunt graduated from The Larner College of Medicine (LCOM) and completed her pediatric residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and pediatric nephrology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. She happily returned to Vermont in 2014. Her experience at LCOM and during residency and fellowship training got her thinking about what makes a successful learning environment as well as how medical training has changed over time. She has enjoyed learning from students and colleagues about what professional identity formation and professionalism means to them. She looks forward to working on current projects including increased transparency about the reporting process.
