BIO
Brianna Holston joined the Northeast Rural Health Research Center team full-time in June of 2024, following two years of support as a part-time student research assistant. Her work consists of survey data and geographic information systems (GIS) analysis, writing, and data visualization, as well as broader work supporting the team in moving projects forward – including literature reviews, data documentation, and development of deliverables. She graduated in 2026 with a Master of Public Health degree and is currently pursuing a DrPH through UVM’s inaugural program. Although her research interests span the broad rural health continuum, she is particularly interested in epidemiology and access to health services, and has recently worked on rural health projects examining preventive cancer screening, chronic pain prevalence, substance use disorder treatment, and geographic access to health-related services such as broadband.
