BIO

Dr. Stanley has been faculty at the University of Vermont since 1998. His research interests were initially focused on the biology of venous ulcers. Early work resulted in NIH and industry funding. His focus then shifted to quality care in vascular surgery. He was part of a small group of vascular surgeons that helped create and proliferate the database which is now recognized as the preeminent database in vascular surgery (VQI). As Deputy Chair in the Department of Surgery, he oversees recruitment and departmental operations.
