BIO

My patients usually meet me on one of their hardest days. Something unexpected and possibly life-changing has happened. Helping patients and families through these difficult times is the greatest honor as a surgeon.

I grew up in Chicago. I originally trained at Boston’s Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory as a composer. After college, I wanted to devote my life to medicine, completing my medical degree at the University of Vermont and my surgical training at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. My interests include trauma, abdominal wall reconstruction and global health.
