Internships
Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) Administration Practicum
This practicum for graduate students in the HESA program introduces interns to the daily operations of WAGE within a higher education setting. Interns become an integral part of the WAGE team by attending meetings with campus partners, supporting program development, and contributing to event implementation.
The practicum emphasizes connecting theory to practice and linking the intern’s experience with their assistantship and coursework. Interns also take the lead on a special project developed in collaboration with their supervisor.
The practicum requires nine hours per week for one semester and earns 2 academic credits. Students must register through the HESA program’s practicum process.
Special Internship
WAGE has collaborated with various academic departments to create internships for undergraduate and graduate students from many fields of study. These internships are tailored to meet individual learning goals and academic requirements.
