After a year of thoughtfully engaging with staff members and leaders, the University of Vermont has updated its annual performance evaluation process. Beginning this year, annual staff evaluations will now be conducted in PeopleSoft’s ePerformance tool instead of within PeopleAdmin. This change and subsequent process updates align with performance management best practices and is designed to reduce administrative burden while enhancing the evaluation experience. Key improvements include:

  • Fewer required fields

  • Continuous feedback functionality

  • Simplified rating structure

  • Co-created, role-specific goals

  • Additional rater functionality

  • Performance notes and comments features

On January 20, all eligible employees and their managers will receive an automated notification that the system is open for 2025 Performance Reviews with further instructions.
