Career Pay System | Human Resources | The University of Vermont(title)

The Career/Pay System grouped positions into broad job functions and subdivided into more specific categories based on the nature of the work and the level of skill and responsibilities required of it. UVM Staff United employees still utilize this classification system.

As of October 21, 2024, all staff excluding those represented by UVM Staff United have transitioned to the University Job Architecture. Employees represented by UVM Staff United remain classified under the Career/Pay system. This system was implemented in 2005 and focuses on competencies, skills, and the scope and functions of a job.

Additional information can be found on the Class & Comp landing page.
