Mission

Our mission is to build a vibrant residential college that embeds the liberal arts in a culture of research and scholarly inquiry. We cultivate a community centered in inclusive values, we empower students through experiential learning, and we nurture our students’ potential to grow into courageous thinkers and compassionate leaders.

Honors College Council and Committees

As the Honors College's primary governing body, the council sets curriculum and advises the dean on college policies. The Honors College Council is comprised of administrators, faculty, staff and students. Each undergraduate academic unit appoints two faculty representatives to the Council: typically an honors program director/coordinator and a representative from the unit's curriculum committee. Honors program directors and coordinators comprise the Honors College Subcommittee on Admission and Retention, and the representatives from the curriculum committees comprise the Honors College Curriculum Subcommittee.
