BIO

Jenny Stewart is a staff counselor at CAPS and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Her previous clinical experience includes working in a group private practice in VT and as a graduate counseling intern at Middlebury College. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and welcoming for people of all identities. Her clinical interests are broad and include anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She draws from multiple theories including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC). She uses strengths-based methods to connect with individuals and to support them in making changes to their lives. She aims to offer a compassionate environment where students feel validated and deeply heard.
