The Building Automation Controls team is responsible for maintaining, operating and upgrading the central controls systems which monitor air handling units, temperature gauges and alarms for every building on campus. The team monitors over 60,000 system “points” throughout the campus and creates the data visualizations (a.k.a. the "front ends") that Physical Plant maintenance technicians use in the field when troubleshooting HVAC or system alarm issues.
The building management systems used on campus include Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Ademco security systems, and the Delta V digital automation system which is used to operate the Main Campus District Energy Plant.
