During the summer, we offer convenient and affordable housing for college interns. Our residence halls are located minutes from downtown Burlington with easy access to local attractions so you can make the most of your summer.

Intern Housing

$30 per night

DATES & ELIGIBILITY

Housing Dates Summer 2025: May 26 - August 1

Who can apply: Applicants must be of college age and older, matriculated at an accredited college or university for the duration of their stay on campus, and employed in an internship for at least 20 hours per week during their stay. Verification of student and employment status will be required as part of your application.

PAYMENTS

RATES

$30 per person / per night
Please note there is a minimum two week stay. 

DEPOSIT

We require a 50% deposit to be submitted with your registration. Your reservation is not complete until your deposit has been received. You will receive a confirmation email once your reservation has been finalized.

BALANCE PAYMENTS

Balance payments will be due on or before your check out date.

CHANGES

Changes to your reservation must be submitted with at least 10 business days notice. Please submit changes in writing to summerhousing@uvm.edu.

AMENITIES & ADDITIONAL SERVICES

AMENITIES

Interns will live in single-occupancy dorm-style bedrooms. There is a shared bathroom on each floor of the building, as well as a common kitchen area for all interns to use during their stay. If you have any questions, please email summerhousing@uvm.edu.

WE PROVIDE:

  • Free WiFi
  • Access to free laundry in residence hall
  • Access to nearby parking (fee applies)
  • Access to a shared kitchenette
  • Communal lounge space in residence hall
  • Access to student professional staff 24/7

INTERNS BRING:

  • A personal fan (residence halls are not air conditioned)
  • Kitchenware
  • A MicroFridge (microwave/fridge combination unit) is strongly suggested.
  • Linens (twin XL sheets, towels, wash cloth, blanket, and pillow)

DINING ON CAMPUS

There will be shared kitchen facilities available in the intern housing residence hall, as well as a wide variety of dining options in the surrounding Burlington area.

FITNESS CENTER

Interns may purchase a fitness center pass to use the fitness center, pool, courts, and climbing wall. Current UVM students receive automatic membership. 

PARKING

Parking is not included in your overnight registration. When you finalize your registration, you will receive instructions on how to pay and register your vehicle.

LINEN RENTAL

Linen packets (includes twin XL sheets, a towel, hand towel, and washcloth) will be available for rental purchase. 

POLICIES

In its effort to foster a healthy and safe living environment, The University of Vermont expects all guests of its housing facilities will behave in a manner consistent with all University policies.

Residents who engage in behavior that violates these policies will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
