BIO

Kelly has been an active healthcare professional and educator in the greater Burlington, VT community for 30+ years. As a Clinical Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science, she currently teaches interprofessionally in the Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching and Exercise Science Programs in both didactic and clinically based courses. She is a Vermont state-licensed and nationally board-certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), and a nationally board-certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).

Upon graduating from UVM with a B.S. in Health Education and attaining K–12 educator licensure, Professor Tourville focused her early professional career in sports medicine and practiced clinically as an Athletic Trainer in a multidisciplinary outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation clinic for a decade before returning to UVM as a graduate teaching fellow to earn her M.Ed. in Interdisciplinary Design/Education. She remained at UVM, splitting time between teaching and working in Athletic Medicine with Division I athletes on the ski, swim, dive, and tennis teams.

Kelly later went on to become a full-time faculty member, Clinical Education Coordinator, and Program Director of the Bachelor of Science Athletic Training Program for many years. In addition to teaching and academic advising, she currently collaborates clinically with other Integrative Health colleagues to facilitate “Employee Coaching Connection” at UVM, a program that guides UVM and UVM Medical Center employees in their health and wellness through weekly individual and group health coaching sessions.

Kelly is a strong advocate for supporting others in finding a path that feels right and works for them with regard to personal growth and overall well-being throughout one's life journey.
