Heather Stevenson, PT, D.P.T., NCS, received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2012 and earned board certification as a specialist in neurologic physical therapy in 2024. She began her career in outpatient orthopedics before transitioning to neurologic rehabilitation, where she has spent the last nine years specializing in the care of individuals with neurologic conditions in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. She has a particular interest in working with individuals post-stroke and those with spinal cord injuries.
Heather is committed to integrating the latest evidence into clinical practice and advancing patient outcomes through innovation and education. In addition to her clinical work, she is passionate about strengthening connections between community-based health programs and the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Vermont, where she mentors students and fosters opportunities for hands-on learning.
She is especially dedicated to helping patients maximize independence while also supporting the next generation of physical therapists in developing the skills and compassion needed to thrive in the profession.
