BIO

Cynthia Frimpong is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Valley View University and worked as an accountant for more than 10 years before transitioning to healthcare.

Cynthia earned a second bachelor's degree in Nursing from Fortis College, a master's degree in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certificate from Regis College, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Capella University.

She is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (across the lifespan). Cynthia has extensive mental health nursing experience in inpatient psychiatric, correctional, and school settings. She is trained in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and received a SAMHSA waiver to treat patients with substance use disorders.

Cynthia is also a Board-Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH) and currently operates her private mental health practice in Shelburne, Vermont.
